Mersea Island Photographic Society Exhibition
The Society is holding an exhibition of photographs in the Resource Centre.
This is in addition to the Museum's 2010 exhibition and normal admission charges will apply to include entry to both exhibitions.

MERSEA PAST - at work, rest and play
A talk by local historian Brian Jay to jog a few memories, with scenes and people from the "old days" into the 1950s and 1960s.

Mersea Museum Autumn Fair, with a wide variety of stalls.

The Blackwater
Slides and a talk by Ron Green, covering the River Blackwater and sailing barges.

Art Show at Mersea Museum.
Preview 7.30pm to 9pm on Thursday 25th.

Official Opening of the Heritage Resource Centre by Andrew Phillips
The new Resource Centre was be opened by well known Colchester historian Andrew Phillips.

2010 Summer Exhibition
Mersea Museum re-opened for the 2010 Summer Season. The theme of the exhibition is "Odd Objects". As well as featuring the ENDEAVOUR tow-rope and photographs, we will have objects relating to farming, Mersea businesses, medical matters, World War 2, the church - and a few other odd things. The talk and meeting will be held at 7.30pm in the Church Hall, behind West Mersea Parish Church.

BBC A History of the World
Mersea Museum is taking part in A History of the World in Objects. Our object is a portion of the tow rope which severed in 1937, leaving the yacht ENDEAVOUR adrift in the Atlantic.

2009 Summer Exhibition
Mersea Museum re-opens for the 2009 summer season. Topics include the Little Wigborough Zeppelin, the life and times of King George VI, Edwardian weddings, old maps and charts, recently-found sperm whale jaw bones.

Spring Art Show
Paintings in various media plus some sculptures and pottery, with prices from just a few pounds to several hundred. Or, just come and enjoy looking at some unique and splendid art.
10.00 am to 5.00 pm each day. Free admission.
