Chalets built mainly mid to late 1930s but now all demolished and replaced by mobile homes. Mainly built by Gilbert Lee (Gilbert's uncle) & Cyril Lilley at approx £75. Most from East End & handed down to different generations.

Coopers Beach was closed to visitors during WW2 and used by the Army some of the time.
