Smack SKYLARK 46CK on Mersea Hard, just after the end of WW1. Ena Mole, later Mrs Arthur Death, at tiller.
The owner of the SKYLARK was Frederick Westhorpe Mole, father of Ena Mole. Frederick was killed when the naval stores ship INDUSTRY was torpedoed in the Irish Sea 18 October 1918. The SKYLARK was then sold to the Pitt family of Maldon.
