Boats at West Mersea in an icy winter.
Terry Kyle says:
The yellow dory in the foreground was Chris Stopford's, and then later owned by Graham Rampling. The dory is fibreglass and has a modern 2 stroke outboard on it. The photo was probably taken in the late 1980's as I remember one hard winter thereabouts when fishing boats came out of the ice to lay on the edges, This looks like punt bay near to the Dabchicks.
1984 was also a bad winter with a lot of ice in the creeks... Date: c1988
