Machine gun dropped on Tiptree Hall farm from the Zeppelin brought down in the neighbourhood on 24 September 1916. Photographed by Lieut. S.S. Wilkin.
The band attached to the gun was 6 feet long and contained explosive copper bullets. The heading was photographed from the log book of the Zeppelin which was thrown overboard (burning).
One of the machine guns from L33 is in the Imperial War Museum North collection, but it is not clear if it is this one.
