Search for Image ID "" Around 1947, the Ipswich Sea Scouts had been loaned by the Admiralty, an ex-wartime, Fairmile 'D' MTB, which was permanently moored fore, and aft, just off the hard at Pin Mill for a few years, on the Orwell. This had had the engines removed and that space converted to general accommodation. The forward and aft living accommodation, including the galley, was left in situ.
