Search for Image ID ""Images for Mersea-->Aerial views 28 of 178 Blockhouse Fort, East Mersea. An aerial view from a kite, looking north. The fort had earth walls and was triangular. The remains are in the lower half of the picture, with two walls pointing to the south. The point is now covered by the beach. The third wall, which would have been across the centre of the picture, is thought to have been destroyed when the sea wall was built.
