AVEL was a wooden cutter, built 1896 by Camper & Nicholson, Official No. 110242 [Lloyds Yacht Register 1914]. 

She was advertised for sale as a houseboat at got no takers. She was then advertised as a Classic Yacht at a much higher price ...

AVEL was a wooden cutter, built 1896 by Camper & Nicholson, Official No. 110242 [Lloyds Yacht Register 1914].
She was advertised for sale as a houseboat at got no takers. She was then advertised as a Classic Yacht at a much higher price and was promptly snapped up [RG]. AVEL was rescued around 1993 and by 1995 was sailing again.
