Model of smack BOADICEA CK213 on exhibition in the main hall at Mersea Museum.

The model was made in the 1950s by Michael Frost who owned BOADICEA for many years. The smack is still in his family and she is still moored at Mersea.

Although it strongly resembles the BOADICEA, in fact it represented his intention to eventually build an improved design with finer lines. The model is planked on 'grown' frames made out of 'Perspex' and the sails were sewn as if full size, by Beat Green who worked at Gowens sailmakers.

The model is on loan from Marica Frost
