The Gables stood in a large garden at the junction of Yorick Avenue and Melrose Road. It was built in 1909.

Between the wars, it was occupied by Dr & Mrs Rudduck. Dr Rudduck probably died in 1925. and Mrs Rudduck died 31 May 1939 aged 80.

The Gables stood in a large garden at the junction of Yorick Avenue and Melrose Road. It was built in 1909.
Between the wars, it was occupied by Dr & Mrs Rudduck. Dr Rudduck probably died in 1925. and Mrs Rudduck died 31 May 1939 aged 80.
The house was demolished during 1995, having lain empty for some time, and the site redeveloped to include a new gabled house.
