Primrose Buses. West Mersea and Colchester. 1 January 1925 until further notice. The Mersea, Colchester and District Transport and Bus Co., Ltd. Primrose Buses were so called because they were painted yellow. The buses were run from 1918 and based at the Primrose Garage in the High Street, which also housed charabancs for day trips. The company was taken over by Eastern National in 1935.
