Comment by Jenny Vuglar 21 February 2012: "Interesting - only image of his work I have been able to find even thought he was so influential as a proponant of direct carving. Is it dated ?"
Answer: Museum records indicate it is from 1936 and Dr Edward Juler writes "I had the opportunity to check the catalogue of the 1968 Bedford retrospective that was organized just after his death. Horned Lizard is reproduced in this publication & dated c.1936 and this fits in with other research."
