 HOTSPUR under sail - she arrived West Mersea to be a houseboat the day World War 1 broke was declared. She had been built by M.E. Ratsey in Cowes in 1874. Official No. 67593. In 1914 she was owned by Mrs Herbert Dudgeon from Kingstown, Dublin, and was registered in Glasgow. [Lloyds Register of Yachts].
