The map shows the Victoria Esplanade area from Willoughby Car Park entrance to Fairhaven Avenue. There is a swimming pool at the eastern end and tennis courts in the present Esplanade Car Park. The estimated completion date of September 1975 was added afterwards and is interesting as West Mersea Urban District Council was abolished April 1974 and West Mersea was largely taken over by Colchester.
