Dimensions 83.0 x 21.5 x 6.8 feet. Carried 160 tons to sea.
Original Owner A. White (Blackwall).
Sold 27 April 1891 to T.W. Howard, City, London.
Sold March 1911 to Eldred J. Frost, Roosevelt House, Tollesbury. Essex.
Manager William Frost, same address. (Purchased at Auction, Gravesend).
1925 M.N.L. gives owner as E. Frost - name of barge MARY AND KATE.
Final owner C.T. Dines, 6 Maidstone Rd., Grays.

19 Nov 1895 to 2 Feb 1901 Dutch newspaper archive records arrivals in Dutch ports with Bennett as captain.
1 April 1894 Ashore - Haringsrete, Veeregat, on voyage Germany - England, cargo iron - refloated.
14 February 1900 Remagen - London with mineral waters, Broadstairs Lifeboat assisted to save vessel and crew of three.
15 May 1910 arrived Heybridge Basin with 160 tons broken granite. Capt. Hoogenbos.
4 July 1912 arrived Heybridge Basin with 160 tons broken granite. Capt J. Culf.
1 Nov 1924 arrived Heybridge Basin, Captain C. Dines. Loaded 90 tons tents and poles May & Butcher, departed 5 Nov 1924.
21 April 1925 on voyage St. Helens (I.O.W.) TO Alderney - light - missed stays and stranded in N.E. gale on Platte Saline Beach, Alderney.
Crew saved - Master C. Dines, age 37, born Grays.
Mate H. Colyer. age 38, born Gravesend.
Cook E. Baker, age 21, born Brighton.
Barge smashed to pieces in two hours. Still recorded in 1927 M.N.L.

Photo also in Tollesbury Past by Keith Lovell, figure 74, which adds:
The last coal barge to work to Tollesbury. On her arrival a bell war rung, and people could collect their coal for 18/- a ton.
The car belonged to the vicar of Tolleshunt D'Arcy at the time.
