1. Peldon, At the General Court Baron of the Reverend William Samuel Powell
2. Doctor in Divinity and Archdeacon of Colchester Lord of the said Manor there holden
3. for the said Manor on Monday the tenth day of August in the Year of our Lord
4. One thousand seven hundred and seventy two and in the twelfth Year of the Reign of our
5. Sovereign Lord George the third by the grace of God of great Britain France and Ireland
6. King Defender of the Faith etc before Charles Gray Esquire Steward there, it is thus inrolled.
7. And also at this Court the Lord of the said Manor for recontinuing the ancient
8. Rents and Services due for a Pantile Shop opposite to the Butchers house and the
9. Pound of Edward Ransom Farmer did in open Court by the Rod and by the hands of the
10. said Steward according to the Custom of the said Manor Regrant the said Pantile Shop
11. with the Appurtenances to the said Edward Ransom and his heirs To have and to
12. hold the said Pantile Shop and Premises with the Appurtenances to the said Edward
13. Ransom his heirs and Assigns of the Lord by the Rod at the Will of the Lord
14. according to the Custom of the said Manor by Fealty suit of Court from three
15. weeks to three weeks and other services therefore before due and of right
16. Fealty was respited &c [etc]
17. And afterwards Surrendered to the Use of his Will Cha[rles]: Gray Steward
