In the name of god amen, I Henry Choppin sick in bodie yet in good
and p[er]fect memory blessed be god do constitute and ordeine this my last
will and testament in manner and forme following First I give and
bequeath my soule to almighty god that gave it and my body to bee
buried in the parish churchyard of West Mersea Item I give and be
queath unto my mother my best mare with a side pannel and my best brydle
my Cartez[?] my brinded Cowe Item I give to my brother Rich[ar]d Choppin
a redd Cowe and a black bullock and also my best Cloake Item I give
unto my brother Rich[ar]d Syer[?] also one black sow with a white face with one
black bullock with a white face It[e]m and my will is that my Executors shall sell
all my hard Corn viz. wheat and rye and being sould and my rent paid
paid with that money, and if any remaine I will it to bee equally devided
amongst these viz: my mother and my said Executors Item I will that
my hay[?] shall bee sould also by my Executors and they shall dispose of the money
as they shall think meete Item three shoates or hoggs which I leave also to the
disposing of my Executors Item I give to margaret wilson my goddaughter
one ewe sheepe It[e]m Foer the rest of my goods Chattels moovablse or immov
veables I leave them to disposing of my said Executors, It[e]m I make and
my will is to ordeine my brother Ric[har]d Choppin and my brother in law Richard Ric[har]
seyr Executors of this my will. In witness whereof I have hereunto sett
my hand the 16th daie of Februarie Anno dom[ini] 1627:
