The Manor At a General Court Baron or Customary Court of Charles Jolland Gentleman Lord of the said Manor held at
        } Peldon Hall in and for the said Manor on Tuesday the eleventh day of December in the twenty eighth Year of the Reign
of Peldon of our Sovereign Lord George the third now King of Great Britain &c [etcetera] And in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven
        hundred and eighty seven, before Samuel Ennew Esquire Steward there, it is thus Inrolled./.

Whereas at a Court Baron here held for the said Manor on the twelfth day of October One thousand seven hundred
and seventy four John White was Admitted Tenant to him and his Heirs to All that Pantile Shop and Pound with the Appurt-
-tenances in Peldon opposite to the bricked Messuage or Tenement then in the Occupation of John Matthewman and holden
of this Manor by Copy of Court Roll And whereas at the last Court Baron here also held on the thirty first day of October
now last past the Homage presented that the said John White died since the then last Court so seised of the said Premises
and that Henry White was his only Brother and next Heir and no person then coming to pay or Answer to the Lord for his
Fine and thereupon take Admittance to the Premises after Proclamation thrice made for that Purpose according to the
Custom of the said Manor therefore the first default was recorded (as by the Court Rolls of the said manor on reference
thereto will more fully appear) Now at this Court the Homage on their Oath present that the said Henry White the only
Brother and Heir of the said John White deceased did on the twentieth day of November One thousand seven hundred and
eighty, Out of Court by the Rod and by the hands of the said Steward Surrender into the hands of the Lord of the said Manor
All the aforesaid Pantile Shop and Pound with the Appurtenances situate and being in Peldon aforesaid in the County
of Essex And holden of this Manor by Copy of Court Roll And the Reversion and the Reversions Remainder and
Remainders thereof And all the estate Right Title Interest Property Claim and Demand whatsoever both at Law and
in Equity of him the said Henry White of in and to the same and every part and parcel thereof To the only use and
behoof of Jospeh Ward of Colchester in the said County of Essex Baker his Heirs and Assigns absolutely and for ever
Whereupon comes here into Court the said Joseph Ward in his own person and having agreed with the Lord for the
Fine as well for the said Henry White as for himself, humbly prayeth of the Lord to Admit him Tenant to the Premises
Surrendered to him as aforesaid To whom the Lord of this Manor by the Rod and by the hands of the said Steward
hath granted and delivered seisin thereof To have and to hold the said Shop and Pound with the Appurtenances
unto the said Joseph Ward his Heirs and Assigns of the Lord by the Rod at the Will of the Lord according to the Custom of
the said Manor by the Yearly Rent Fealty Suit of Court and all other Services and Customs therefore due and
accustomed And he gives to the Lord the several Fines as appear in the Margin And so saving always the Right of
the Lord the said Joseph Ward is Admitted Tenant thereof in form aforesaid./.
