1.   In the name of God Amen
2.   The fourth day of June in the yeare of our Lord one Thousand Six hundred Fifty
3.   Seaven: I William Heidge of Peldon in the County of Essex yeoman beinge
4.   Sicke in body yett of a good and perfect remembrance I doe praise Allmighty
5.   God for the same; Revoakeinge all other wills by mee heretofore made doe nowe
6.   make and ordaine this my last will and Testament in manner and forme
7.   followinge First I commend my Soule into the hands of Allmighty God my
8.   maker and redeemer And my body I committ to the earth from whence it came
9.   there to be buried in christian burriall at the discrec[i]on of my executo[ur] hereafter
10.   named And as Concerninge my Worldly estate wherewith Allmighty God hath
11.   endowed mee with all I doe order and dispose of in this manner followinge Item I
12.   give and bequeath unto John Potter of Peldon the Summe of Three poundes of
13.   lawfull money to be paid him within two yeares after my decease And also
14.   Three poundes of like money to John Potter his Sonne to be paid him within
15.   two moneths after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto Sarah Smith the
16.   wife of Edward Smith of greate Wigborrowe the Summe of Tenn poundes
17.   of lawfull money to be paid her within two yeares after my decease Item I give
18.   and bequeath unto Hester Neavearde the wife of Edward Neavearde of Naylonde
19.   in the County of Suffolke the Summe of Twenty poundes of lawfull money to be
20.   paid unto her within twoe yeares next after my decease Item I give and
21.   bequeath unto Edaye Knopp the wife of John Knopp of Copford the Summe of'
22.   Forty shillings to be paid unto her within two yeares next after my decease Item
23.   I give and bequeath unto Martha Whitinge the wife now of John Whitinge the
24.   younger of Fingringoe the the Summe of Fower poundes of lawfull money to
25.   be paid her within two yeares after my decease Item I give unto Edward
26.   Smith of Wigborrowe my brother in lawe the Summe of Five poundes to
27.   be paid him within two yeares next after my decease Item I give to Rebecca
28.   Stanes the wife of John Stanes of Peldon the Summe of Forty Shillings to bee
29.   paid her within two yeares next after my decease, All the rest of my goods and
30.   Chattles whatsoever unbequeathed I give and bequeath unto Robert Heidge my brother
31.   his sonne And doe make and ordaine him my whole executor of this my will
32.   and Testament: In Witnes hereof I have hereunto Sett my hand and Seale the
33.   day and yeare first abovewritten The marke of William Heidge Sealed published
34.   and declared to be his last will In the presence of us Henry Potter the marke of

39.   tratrix of all and Singular the goods Chattles and debtes of Robert Heidge
40.   deceased whilest hee lived the nephew residuary legatary and Sole ex[ecu]ter
41.   of the will of William Heidge deceased Shee the Said Anne Heidge
42.   beinge first Sworne to Administer all and Singular the goods Chattles and
43.   debtes of the Said deceased accordinge to the tenor and effect of the Said will
44.   For that the Said Robert Heidge the Said Executor dyed before hee had taken
45.   upon him the execuc[i]on thereof
