Essex Record Office document DF 106/1/10/12 T&MNOFC Record of Ships Moored on Fishery 1930-33 gives name as KAPIN all other reports are KARIN).

5 Apr 1934 fire occured in Swedish KARIN at Rotherhithe. A small quantity of cargo in the forehold was damaged (Birmingham Gazette 6 Apr 1931) (before her visit to the Blackwater)
