Career:THEMISTOCLES was built as a passenger ship for the Aberdeen Line. During the Second World War she remained on commercial service and in 1947, after 79 voyages to Australia, she was laid up in the River Blackwater. On 24th August 1947 she arrived at the yard of W. Arnott Young & Co. at Dalmuir where she was broken up. She was the last ship to bear the Aberdeen Line name.
"Shaw Savill & Albion, A Fleet History", 2011, says that July 1946 to June 1947 she made two round voyages to Australia and was laid up in the Blackwater at the end of June 1947.

Mid Essex WSS - Lloyds List: arrived 13 July 1947 sailed 21 August 1947 for Dalmuir for scrapping.
