On www.merchant-navy.net, Ken Burns says "the starboard LP cylinder jammed on a broken junk ring and bent the con-rod. We compounded it south of Dakar then loaded in Capetown. Back in Europe we took it to Blackwater estuary to mothball while Wallsend slipway cast a new cylinder".
