Essex Newsman of 01 Nov 1930 reported accident aboard MEISSONIER lying off Mersea Island. Ship's carpenter Hinrich fell down hold. y Dr Grant informed by Wireless message and Hinrich removed to Colchester Hospital in critical condition.
