March 1947:
EMPIRE CARPENTER - Brightlingsea, Mar. 26. - During a gale on the night of Mar. 16-17 steamer Empire Carpenter, laid up in the River Blackwater, dragged her anchor and fouled steamer CAIRO CITY, also laid up. It is understood that the two vessels were in collision several times before tugs Sun V. and Sun XI. Remoored the Empire Carpenter on Mar. 19. The CAIRO CITY sustained slight damage to upper works, two lifeboats and four liferafts. Damage to Empire Carpenter, if any, unknown. 1947 she was sold to Petrinovic Steamship Co., of London and renamed PETFRANO.
Renamed AMIPA-1955, APEX-1958, AFROS-1968. Broken up Shanghai 17 March 1971.
