I walked across Besom in about 1 foot of water (near the Gut) then down the Northern and across to the eastward outside the Gut Water about 1 foot deep without the sea. Harry and others were with me.

30 Dec 1924 very low ebb, strong wind S, the ridge outside the bay between sandbar & Cockum Bar was adry & visible.
