From Ron Green: "This is a very good picture. I think the bald headed man to the bottom left of the picture could be Hazel White a Brightlingsea smacksman and yachtsman - actually a mastheadsman in the big racing yachts. He was landlord of The Old Ship at Heybridge Basin which was our regular Friday night local in the 1970s. He was quite a character and wrote several articles in Coast & Country magazines about his time in the big yachts. I also think the pipe smoking man behind Dick and Mary is Bernard Fahie."
