Charles Godfrey Bonner. This Memorial Plaque was issued after the First World War to the next-of-kin of all British Empire service personnel who were killed as a result of the war. Charles was in the Coldstream Guards and was killed 27 August 1918 age 34.
He was brought up in Great Wigborough, but by 1910 he was married and living at Perry Barr, Birmingham.

Plaque donated to Mersea Museum February 2022 by Charnwood Museum in Loughborough. It was their Accession No. 2002.27.
