Margaret's niece says:
"She stayed on in the family home called Holm Croft in Grove Avenue for some years after Lewis died [1945]and then Douglas [Margaret's brother] designed and had a smaller house built for her across the road. The name 'Holm Croft' was transferred to the smaller house [and the original Holm Croft became Tall Trees. Some years later she moved to a bungalow in Yorick Road. In the 1950s the large house Holmcroft on the south side of Grove Avenue was sold and Margery moved to a bungalow called Holmcroft (and sometimes Holm Croft) on the other side of Grove Avenue.
