Map of bombs, incendiaries and crashed planes on Mersea Island during World War 2.
This is a scan of a black and white copy of the original map. It has been coloured-in using a small photograph of the original map (MAP_BOMB_011.jpg) but it is difficult to tell if some bombs should be red or brown. For this reason, some bombs have been left uncoloured. The bombs are numbered - but we have not yet found a key to these numbers.
The location of the original map is not known.
