 Roman Wheel Tomb in found in a garden on Beach Road in 1896. Known locally as the Pharos as it was once thought to be the foundation of a Roman Lighthouse, but it is now generally thought to be a Roman wheel tomb. The structure was some 65 feet in diameter, with walls 3 feet thick. This important relic is now lost, partly buried and partly destroyed.
