58 of 58 Reflections of a Grandmother by Jane Sampson. 16 page booklet published 1991. "A fascinating autobiographical collection of memorable experiences in the author's life, from shepherding on her husband's farm in Essex [Copt Hall, Little Wigborough] to working as a missionary doctor in Pakistan. Jane Sampson was born in Derbyshire in 1926. She was educated in the Lake District and evacuated to Oxford during the war. Her first job was at Middlesex Hospital and then she had two house jobs. Married to an Essex farmer in 1952, she has six children, all of whom have been to university. Her medical career has been a varied one, including work for schools, geriatrics and VD cases, and she has spent the last three years working as a missionary doctor in Pakistan.
