Career: | Laid up in Blackwater after suspension of service from Yarmouth. She had been arrested in Oslo, allowed to proceed to Immingham and then thrown out of there. With a representative of the receivers on board, she sailed and tried anchoring in the Stour above Harwich - but was always drifting. So, she came to the River Blackwater. It was some time before the money to pay off the crew was found - they paid off 7 May 1969. [From a Mersea resident who has lived on the island since arriving here on SEALORD CONTENDER].
