"Admiral Bill" sees one of his biggest boats launched
On Saturday afternoon one of the largest boats built at Mr William Wyatt's shipyard, West Mersea, was launched from his slipway with all ceremony. The boat is approx. 27ft 6in overall, and was designed by Mr A.H. Buchanan, a naval architect, as a pleasure and fishing boat, with fitted cabin. On the stocks in early January, it has taken about three months to complete her. The launching ceremony was carried out by Miss Joan Pullen, daughter of Mr Rupert Charles Pullen, for whom the boat has been built. She christened the boat PEDRO II.
