By Indenture made between Willoughby John Bean of West Mersea and George Charles Howard of 46 Abbey Road, St Johns Wood in the County of London of the one part, and James Allerton Going of Peldon, Fishmonger (the purchaser).
Land two thirds W.J.B. and one third G.C. Howard.
for sale for the sum of £250.

All that piece of land at Mersea having a frontage on the south side to the sea shore of 270 feet and a return frontage to Sea View Road there of 760 feet and return depth to the rear of 370 feet to Yorick Road be the same dimensions a little more or less.
TOGETHER with the foreshore in front of the said piece of land which extends southerly to high water mark a distance of 50 feet or thereabouts And all which sd premises contain an area of 8 acres and 7 poles or thereabouts and were more particularly delineated in the plan coloured blue.
