Search for Image ID ""Images for Tollesbury 381 of 457 SUSAN at Tollesbury. Launched in 1948 and named after Susan Blott who was born June of that year. Designer and builder unknown. She was a trawler and probably pitch pine on oak. After WW2 and the demise of ESSEX MAID, John Blott was told that he could not get materials to buy a yacht in post-war restrictions, so she was built as an updated and more luxurious version of a traditional Essex Smack, and was registered in Maldon as fishing boat MN29.
