On the golf course at East Mersea. Described by former East Mersea resident George Farthing as being on the first tee of East Mersea Golf Club course, and that was opposite the Dormy houses and in what is [now] known as Ship Field.
Martin Dence (of Broman's Farm) was given the photograph by Elizabeth & Derek Sadler. It came from the family of James Page, who moved to Mersea and lived and farmed at Bocking Hall, Rewsalls Farm and then Broman's Farm.
