Peter Moss Mussett (1878-1959) was born out of wedlock to my grandfather's eldest sister, Caroline Mussett (1854-1937), and raised by her parents. He joined the Navy in 1897, and spent many years abroad or at sea. He married Rose Violet Stafford (1889-1984), and lived in Gillingham in Kent. Their children Ida and William were born in 1909 & 1910, so this picture was probably taken early in the First World War, in which Peter served. [Peter Mussett 7]
