From Stephen Weighell:
"The Richardsons moved to Mersea from Tiptree in about 1926 with their parents Charles and Ivy Nellie RICHARDSON, and lived in Kent House, Seaview Avenue. Two other siblings were later born on Mersea:
Elizabeth Mary RICHARDSON (born Jan 1928)
David Colin Charles Richardson (born Dec 1931)

"The family moved to Beccles in about 1938.
Charles was all that time working at the Anchor Press in Tiptree, and for about 12 years he commuted by motorcycle, having one or two serious crashes along the way.
